Big Picture

In this course, you will be introduced to and learn to employ the fundamental elements and principles of design for various media and gain a strong foundational multidisciplinary experience in the media arts. Many of you have made posters in your other subject area classes or have employed some presentation software to give a report in-class. In each case, you were trying to communicate a message or convey information to an audience. How successful you are is in part, dependent on your ability to successfully use elements and principles of visual design.

In any other visual arts course such as graphic arts, photography, videography, etc. that you may take, the knowledge that you gain in this course will serve as a foundation for any additional work that you do in these courses.
